Complete the festivals/innovation survey

Transformational festivals are changing the lives of individuals, and influencing society in a broad range of ways, including environmental consciousness, social organisation, and the way people create or do business.

Transformational festivals are ‘counterculture events, alluding both personal and cultural transformation through self-realization and an ethos of sustainability, sharing, co-creation, creative expression and community-building’[1]. Festivals which have been categorised as transformational festivals include Burning Man (USA), Boom (Portugal) and Rainbow Serpent (Australia).

Many people, including some world leading innovators, have discussed how their transformational festival experience has had a positive impact on their personal creativity and working-life innovation processes. As such, his study explores the links between transformational festivals and innovation. To inform this study, we are keen to hear from people who have attended at least one transformational festival and are 19 years of age or older. If this is you, we invite you to complete a survey, which will enable us to learn more about you, your professional life and your transformational festival experience. Following the surveying process, up to thirty people will be invited to be interviewed to shed further light on the links between innovation and transformational festivals.
